For a few reasons:
High School diplomas and GEDs are not a very good guide. They vary a lot from state to state, county to county. It is very common these days to get students who simply do not have the basic English, math and science skills necessary for future classes.
At the outset of your college career, you are not qualified to judge what exactly will be required. Even after you graduate, it will take you some experience to really understand how all that applies to your life. You are not simply paying for classes in college: you are paying for highly qualified professionals with years of experience, who have put together a curriculum that makes sense.
The school is not interested in seeing you fail. Good colleges are not about making money - money is needed to pay the bills, but a good outcome is not the balance sheet bottom line. A good outcome is having a high percentage of successful graduates from your school. The school actually wants you to succeed and will provide the classes that you need, which are not necessarily the classes that you want.
There are others, but these are the main ones.
Philippines is an old English name of the country. It was a Spanish colony, the Spanish name for the country is Islas Filipinas. Then the people of the Philippines decided to choose a new language to become the national language. They chose a language called Tagalog. Tagalog called the Philippines the same way as Spahish.
Subsequently they decided to rename Tagalog to Filipino to highlight its role as a national language. And English just borrowed the name.
It’s to brace/strengthen your core. Your body is “smart” enough to realize you’re about to put a lot of strain on your lower spine, so it forces you to contract all the muscles in the area to bolster it. This is why a belt helps deadlifts or squats, it gives something for those muscles to push against, further protecting the spine.
This is probably the hottest thing I have ever seen! He literally does all of that with one hand.
Yeah, and when we look at this, most of us see Dean doing this. But do you ever think about how cool it is that (obvious, I know) Jensen can do everything Dean can do?
This is Scarlett Johansson at a beach in Hawaii.
She is one of the most gorgeous women in the world and a huge sex symbol. She isn’t totally skinny, she only has a thigh gap if she stands with her legs apart and she has cellulite and stretch marks on her thighs and butt. Does she give a fuck? No!
Regardless of all this, she’s absolutely gorgeous. There’s nothing wrong with cellulite, or stretch marks, or not having a perfectly flat stomach, you are beautiful and these things are normal.
I just wanted you all to see somebody who isn’t “perfect”, is still incredibly beautiful and doesn’t care about her stretch marks.
This legitimately just made me feel 1,000x better. I am a perfectionist about every aspect of my life, and sometimes it’s hard for me to recognize that nobody is or can be perfect.
I’m pretty sure I have reblogged this before but I just love this so much. Scarlett is one of my favorite women of all time.
